DVM/MBA

DVM/MBA

The Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Business Administration (DVM-MBA) program is a unique curriculum offered through collaboration between the LMU-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) and the LMU School of Business.

Designed as a dual-degree program, the DVM/MBA provides highly motivated and academically qualified veterinary students the opportunity to simultaneously acquire both their DVM and MBA degrees, completing both programs while enrolled at the LMU-CVM.

The program provides medical and business training via blended curricula. This curriculum equips students with the knowledge needed to successfully facilitate and manage a veterinary practice.

Options within the DVM-MBA program include earning a General MBA via 30 credit hours or earning an MBA with a specific concentration via 36 credits. Concentrations consist of the following areas:

· Business Analytics

· Management

· Marketing

· Sport Management

· Healthcare Administration

· Nursing Home Administration

· Operations Management

Students complete DVM/MBA coursework during the summer semesters and during their rotations in their fourth year of study. This prevents interference with the veterinary coursework offered throughout the first three academic years. Students entering the dual degree program are eligible to begin their MBA courses during the summer before their first year at the LMU-CVM or directly after their first year of professional school. Students will enroll in four classes during the first summer semester via a mixture of traditional and on-line coursework. Classes taken after the initial summer semester are completed in an entirely on-line format.

Tuition for the DVM-MBA classes in 2019-20 is $515 per credit hour. Financial aid is available for this degree-seeking program.

About the DVM/MBA Program
