Unique Skills. Effective Care. All at the Doctoral Level.
The Caylor School of Nursing (CSON) Nurse Anesthesia concentration has transitioned the current Masters of Nurse Anesthesia concentration curriculum to incorporate a BSN to DNP Nurse Anesthesia option. The transition is in response to the mandate from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) requiring all nurse anesthesia programs to offer a doctoral degree for entry into practice by January 1, 2022. The program meets the mandated minimum 36 months length and consists of 109 credit hours.
All didactic nurse anesthesia courses are delivered through an online instructional format. Students will be required to attend intensive sessions lasting two to four days during five of the program's nine semesters. These required sessions will be conducted at both the campus location and at the Brandon (Tampa) off-campus location.
