DMS Advocate Award

This award is named in honor of an inaugural DMS graduate who has invested his own time and money in advocacy for the DMS graduate. He, with some of his colleagues, established the ADMSA and have spent many hours educating legislators and professional organizations on the values of the DMS degree. Selected by his/her peers, this award is given to the student who has demonstrated an effort to promote the DMS among classmates, colleagues, peers, professionals, and government personnel. This individual advocates for the DMS graduate and DMS program for the purposes of improving patient health care and medical education.

This award is named in honor of an inaugural DMS graduate who has been openly vocal and actively engaged in promoting his classmates, the curriculum, his track and is (even today) constantly giving feedback on ways to improve the program. He advertises the DMS program to his colleagues, students and peers and is dedicated to the success of the DMS. This individual, also nominated by his/her classmates, is recognized as someone who is a class leader, who promotes the success of classmates, who constantly strives to improve the experience of classmates and seeks to make the most of all DMS related endeavors. This individual is invested in the success of not only his or her current class but future DMS classes.
