The Vice President for Academic and Student Services brings together, under one office, three core functions of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU): Academic Support, Student Support, and Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation.
The Vice President provides oversight for a variety of academic support services available to the LMU community, regardless of location. Academic Support includes the Assistant Vice President for Academic Support, Carnegie-Vincent Library, Tagge Center for Academic Support, Student Support Services, Career Services, Accessible Education Services, Mental Health Counseling, and International Programs.
The Vice President provides oversight for non-academic services that have impact on the overall wellbeing of the LMU student body, including the Assistant Vice President for Student Support and Dean of Students, Residence Life, Student Life, Multicultural Student Services, Campus Recreation, and Greek Life.
Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation
The Vice President serves as the institutional liaison for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, oversees the institutional substantive change process, ensures reliability of institutionally reported data, and guides assessment processes for academic programs, academic and student services, and administrative units. Lincoln Memorial University provides a dynamic living-learning experience that impacts students’ lives whether they are in the classroom, the dorms, on the athletic fields, engaged in the community and regional service opportunities, or taking advantage of the wide variety of student-focused services or activities offered. Our campus believes that the best way to do this is to provide exceptional services in an environment where both academic and student services dovetail to positively impact student success.
The Office of the Vice President is located in the historic Grant-Lee hall on the main campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.
