Thank you for your interest in our LMU Law Part-Time/Hybrid JD Program! We have spent years researching and developing a new, innovative curriculum designed to benefit students who cannot attend law school in the traditional sense, and we believe we offer an excellent, top-tier program of study.
Most of the program is completed online through asynchronous instruction with weekly deadlines, meaning you work at your own pace without a rigid schedule that requires class participation at set times. After orientation (which includes orientation plus your first classes), you will attend on-campus, in-person classes for no more than two long weekends (Friday to Monday) each fall and spring semester. Additionally, in the third semester of your first year, you must attend one residential weekend (Friday to Monday). Your fourth year is entirely online. We are proud of this innovative approach, one of the first of its kind.
Please investigate our program further, and let us know if we can help. One cautionary note is that, at least in the first several years of the program, class sizes will be limited. For Fall 2027, the class size is limited to 60 students (two sections of 30).

During your time in our program, we want to supply you with a wide variety of academic opportunities and additional resources. As a part of that, we are proud to offer our Academic Success Program, in conjunction with the law school's Bar Preparation Program.
As a graduate of an ABA-approved hybrid law school, completing this program only provides you with more open doors in the future! After graduating from the Part-Time/Hybrid JD program, you will satisfy most jurisdiction's current legal education requirements and will therefore be eligible for admission to the bar in most states.

Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) is approved by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association, 321 North Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654, 312-988-6738. LMU Law has received an acquiescence in substantive change from the Council to offer the Part-Time/Hybrid JD program.
Applicants are advised that some law schools may not accept transfer credits from this program. Furthermore, each jurisdiction sets its own criteria for admission to the bar and to sit for its bar examination. As graduates of an ABA-approved law school and program, graduates of the Part-Time/Hybrid JD program will satisfy most jurisdictions’ current legal education requirements and thus be eligible for admission to the bar in most states. However, LMU Law advises all applicants to the Part-Time/Hybrid JD program to check with the jurisdictions in which they may seek admission to the bar to ensure that graduation from the Part-Time/Hybrid program will make them eligible for taking the bar exam and being admitted to the bar in those jurisdictions.
