Dr Baker graduated from Berry College with a dual degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. Her doctorate is from Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, and her Periodontics Residency was completed at Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry Department of Periodontics. She completed a Fellowship in Forensic Dentistry at the University of Tennessee School of Graduate Medicine Department of Forensics. After leaving her private practice in periodontics in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Dr Baker is currently an Associate Professor at Lincoln Memorial University School of Dental Medicine. She is currently affiliated with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Knox County Regional Forensic Center as a Forensic Odontologist. She is pursuing her Master of Science degree in Forensic Dentistry during her tenure at LMU.

Murray K. Marks, PhD, D-ABFA, F-AAFS is a professor with the Institute of Human Identification in the College of Dental Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Marks earned his doctorate from the University of Tennessee in Biological, Dental, and Forensic Anthropology. He is a board-certified forensic anthropologist for the Knox County Regional Forensic Center and the Hamilton County (Chattanooga) Medical Examiner’s Office. He is a visiting professor at Boston University teaching dental anthropology and at the University of Western Australia teaching forensic anthropology. His research interests include mineralized tissue histology, fracture callus histology, and dental development.
Cindy Watson, RDH, BSBA, Med., Associate Professor, joined the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) at Lincoln Memorial (LMU) in 2022. Prior to her position at LMU-CDM, she was Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene at Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, TN. There she served as Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Dental Hygiene, Senior Dental Hygiene Class Coordinator, Dental Hygiene Admissions & Promotions Committee, and University Hearing & Appeals Board while teaching full-time didactic and clinical courses to Junior and Senior dental hygiene students. Cindy served as a full-time faculty member with many of the same positions while she was at Hiwassee College Dental Hygiene in Madisonville, TN. Cindy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) for 24 years and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association (ADHA), Tennessee Dental Hygienist Association (TDHA), and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). Professional licensure that Cindy holds are the administration of local anesthesia, administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide analgesic, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Cindy enjoys teaching in a professional program where she can see the difference she is making in the lives of her students and patients. The didactic and clinical aspects of teaching afford the opportunity to stay abreast of research while seeing patients and making the application. Cindy believes that dentistry is a rewarding, science-based field where the oral/systemic connection can advance the field of medicine through collaboration of interprofessional care. Personally, Cindy has been married for 25 years and has 1 son. Her boys are the love of her life, and she enjoys spending time with them on the lake and the golf course.
