Program Options and Curriculums

MBA Program Options:

LMU offers numerous Master of Business Administration program options where students can complete the entire curriculum in an online format! Students can complete a 30 credit hour General MBA or a 36 credit hour concentrated MBA. For more information on concentrations, see the list below!

  •   Business Analytics

    This concentration is designed for upwardly mobile professionals who desire additional training in analytical tools for decision making. The curriculum is designed to develop an in-depth knowledge of key business concepts, with special attention focusing on the utilization of analytical practices within today's modern businesses. Core topics within the MBA - Business Analytics curriculum pertain to foundational business analytics knowledge, statistical methods used within analytical decision making, the use of business intelligence, as well as the introduction of analytical programming and data mining.

  •   Digital Marketing

    This concentration provides students with knowledge relating to relevant marketing concepts that aid in communicating value through a growing number of digital platforms. Additionally, students will also learn to utilize data gathered from digital platforms to aid in marketing decision making and the use of social media for brand awareness. Business-to-consumer relationships, product and service promotion, and marketing analytics techniques will also be prevalent.

  •   Healthcare Administration

    This concentration prepares students for a career in healthcare administration by providing courses relevant to the the United States Health Care system. The curriculum is designed to develop an in-depth knowledge of the business aspects associated with the healthcare industry, with courses integrating topics pertaining to administration, current trends, quality improvement, and law and ethics. A degree from the MBA program with this concentration can lead to careers in medical offices and hospital administration, healthcare informatics, healthcare planning, public health, and more.

  •   General Business

    The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is dedicated to providing educational and research opportunities to working adults wanting to develop professionally by enhancing their business skills and credentials. Graduates from this degree program are able to communicate effectively through written and oral expression; apply critical thinking skills to managerial decisions; analyze and evaluate ethical decision making and social responsibility when solving business problems; understand and apply the strategic management principles of crafting and executing strategy in a global economy; and obtain in-depth knowledge of the functional areas of business.

  •   Sport Management

    This concentration provides the intellectual and managerial skills individuals need for career advancement and leadership in the sport industry. It is designed to develop and deepen a student's diverse set of skills, including technical competence in analytical and quantitative techniques, critical thinking, communication abilities, and values. A degree from the MBA program with this concentration can lead to careers in high school or collegiate athletics, professional sports, corporate sport, international sports and recreational/leisure careers.

  •   Strategic Management

    This concentration prepares professionals with knowledge concerning modern strategic management concepts that aid in managerial decision making, value creation, and organizational competitive advantage. These courses will focus on strategic decision making designed to improve organizational value and competitive advantage.  Students will also examine concepts related to effective project management, technology management, and the use of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. A degree from the MBA program with this concentration can lead to a career in a wide variety of private businesses, consulting firms, or the public sector.

  •   Supply Chain Management

    This concentration prepares professionals with knowledge concerning modern supply chain management practices. Courses will focus on critical skill development in the areas of sourcing, purchasing, quality improvement, lean supply processes, and global logistics and distribution. Emphasis will be placed on the use of organizational supply chains as a source of competitive advantage. A degree from the MBA program with this concentration can lead to a career in a wide variety of logistics firms, distribution centers, and operational facilities.

  •   Technology Management

    This concentration provides knowledge relating to the management of technology within technology dependent organizations. Emphasis will be placed on skills needed to manage technology driven organizations through the successful use of innovation and creativity. The concentration will also examine processes for the formulation, implementation, and assessment of technology strategy. Students will analyze technology issues in various business sectors, and will develop findings and recommendations for improvement.

  •   Dual Degree Program: DO/MBA

    The DO/MBA dual degree program begins with an intensive eight-week summer session of four (4) three (3) credit hour core courses. The courses taken within the first summer term consist of MBA 545, 550, 570, & 575. These courses are offered in an online format. Students will then take an additional four (4) core courses and two (2) electives in an online format throughout the remainder of their professional program.  DO/MBA students will complete the General MBA or concentrated MBA curriculum.

  •   Dual-Degree Program: DVM/MBA

    The DVM./MBA dual degree program begins with an intensive eight-week summer session of four (4) three (3) credit hour core courses. The courses taken within the first summer term consist of MBA 545, 550, 570, & 575. These courses are offered in an online format.  Students will then take an additional four (4) core courses and two (2) electives in an online format throughout the remainder of their professional program.  DVM/MBA students will complete the General MBA or concentrated MBA curriculum.

  •   Dual-Degree Program: JD/MBA

    The JD/MBA dual degree program begins with an intensive eight-week summer session of four (4) three (3) credit hour core courses. The courses taken within the first summer term consist of MBA 545, 550, 570, & 575. These courses are offered in an online format. Students will then take an additional four (4) core courses and two (2) electives in an online format throughout the remainder of their professional program. JD/MBA students will complete the General MBA or concentrated MBA curriculum.  JD/MBA students are eligible to substitute LAW 1021 - Contracts & Sales 1 and LAW 2011 -  Business Organizations as electives within the General MBA curriculum.
