Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) recognizes, encourages and rewards students who excel in research. The LMU-CVM Phi Zeta Research Day is hosted annually and allows for students to present their research and compete for poster awards. Research Day is a forum for communication of student research opportunities. This event is attended by the LMU Vice President of Research, CVM faculty members, faculty from the University of Kentucky Gluck Equine Research Center (UK GERC) and the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL), and students from all three of the pre-clinical year classes of our DVM program among others from the LMU community.
The program includes presentations from various faculty members from both the LMU-CVM and UK. Summer research opportunities for students at the University of Kentucky and the collaborative DVM-PhD program are discussed. New initiatives for student involvement in research projects during Fall, Spring and Summer semesters are also presented.
