Harrogate, Tennessee, June 25, 2018— Lights, camera, action! Bright stars will shine under the stars as Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) hosts a series of three family-friendly outdoor, big screen movies at the Harrogate City Park in July, August and October. Movies In The Park, a free community program, will launch on Friday, July 13, with a showing of Disney/Pixar’s Coco.
“LMU is excited to be able to bring more community programing to the park,” Dr. Jody Goins, vice president for enrollment, athletics and public relations said. “This is a great opportunity for the community to gather and enjoy a fun, family activity under the stars.”
The winner of the Academy Award and Golden Gold Award for best animated feature, Coco is a vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure. The story follows an aspiring young musician named Miguel on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector (voiced by Gael Garcia Bernal) becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.
The July 13 event starts at 8 p.m. with the movie beginning at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m. LMU Dining will serve free popcorn and drinks during the movie. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
