In response to the recent cases of raccoon variant rabies discovered in Southwest Virginia, the Center for Animal and Human Health in Appalachia (CAHA) in conjunction with the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting its first low-cost rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center (203 DeBusk Farm Drive) in Ewing, Virginia.
The clinic hosted by the 2017 CAHA Summer Scholars students from LMU-CVM is open to the public. The cost for the rabies vaccination is $8 to be paid in cash only. Please bring dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. For more information call 423.869.6580 or email gilbert.patterson@LMUnet.edu.
