Sandoval Named AMBUCS Scholar
Lincoln Memorial University Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) first-year student Genesis Sandoval was awarded a $600 scholarship by National AMBUCS, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring mobility and independence. Sandoval is from Silver Spring, Maryland and moved to Knoxville to pursue her OTD degree at LMU in May 2021.

Nikki Lockhart has been promoted from director of public relations to director of public relations and marketing for health programs. Emily McGee has been promoted from director of publications to director of public relations and marketing for professional programs in Knoxville.

LMU's Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum Set for Phased Reopening
Following a day of celebration on Friday, the ALLM will offer free admission to the public on Saturday, October 9. A full day of family programming is planned to include activities in the Museum and outdoor fun in the Pioneer Village. In the ALLM, the National Society Daughters of the Union Lincoln Learning Lab will be open for the first time. The lab is a place for children to explore the past through play and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Art, and Mathematics). In the Pioneer Village, demonstrations of the connections between science and the Civil War will take place, along with an apple butter demonstration from reenactors. At the Lincoln birthplace cabin, Mr. Lincoln himself (portrayed by Dennis Boggs) will be on hand to talk to visitors about his childhood and experiences as President.

Dr. Celeste Church Joins LMU as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Vice President for Academic Affairs W. Mark Tew, ThD, has appointed Dr. Celeste Church as associate vice president for academic affairs. In this role, Church will lead the University’s efforts in institutional research, institutional effectiveness and accreditation. Additionally, she will oversee the faculty and staff of the Carnegie Vincent Library and the Reed Health Science Library as well as the office of the registrar.
