  • LMU Students Researching the Effects of Stabling Horses

    Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) students Clayton Deible, class of 2022, and Amy Daly, class of 2021, presented their research project “Surfactant Protein D Concentrations in Serum and Bronchoalveolar Lavage in Young Healthy Horses” at the Veterinary Comparative Respiratory Society Conference on Oct. 9, 2018, at Auburn University. Deible has been working on the project since fall of 2017, while attending LMU as a master’s student. Daly joined him in his research over the summer of 2018.

  • LMU-CVM Students Host Rabies Clinic

    Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) students are working with local community partners to host pop-up clinics to help protect public health throughout the region and prevent the spread of the rabies virus. The last clinic was held on Oct. 27, 2018, at the Scott County Public Animal Shelter in Gate City, Virginia, and work is in progress to host another clinic in summer 2019.

  • Ten Veterinary Medicine Students Honored with Zoetis Scholarship

    Ten students from the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) were honored with the 2019 Zoetis Veterinary Student Scholars Award, March 12, 2019, at the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium held in Athens, Georgia. A total of 315 students were selected across the nation from over 1,400 applications.

  • Lindsey Ramirez Wins International Award for Feline Veterinary Model

    Lindsey Ramirez of Sugarland, Texas, and a second-year student at Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) won the Most Likely to Replicate Award for her feline urethral obstruction model presented at the International Veterinary Simulation in Teaching Conference (InVeST) Oct. 16-19 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
