A Professional Development Program in the Social Sciences

The program will focus on Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Scott, Union, Hamblen, and Greene counties.

This program is designed to help high school Social Studies teachers prepare for the new 2019- 2020 Tennessee Social Studies Standards by focusing on the use of primary and secondary sources in the classroom. Teachers must teach at least one course (including AP classes) in the track they select. US Government teachers are encouraged to apply for the Criminal Justice / Contemporary Issues track.
Full-time high school Social Studies teachers and principals are encouraged to apply.
