Basic Life Support Courses

The LMU-DCOM American Heart Association Training Center offers the Basic Life Support courses designed to meet the needs of today's healthcare providers. Listed below, you will find the courses offered and details about those courses.

BLS HPI BLS HPR

The BLS Course for the health care provider is designed to meet the needs of health care professionals who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Content includes adult, child and infant CPR (both one and two-rescuer); proper treatment for the choking adult, child and infant; and instructions on the use of barrier devices, a bag-mask device, oxygen and an automatic external defibrillation (AED). Participants receive a course completion card valid for two years. Written exam and skills exam required.

The BLS Renewal Course for the health care provider is designed to meet the needs of health care professionals who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. BLS IEC
