Summer Exhibit:

"Down the Valley" @ LMU Center for the Arts Gallery

Synopsis:

A visual arts exhibition that celebrates the Appalachian landscape and its unique cultural heritage in a series of collaborations between LMU student interns/recent graduates and local bearers of creative traditions. Together, LMU and the local populace will celebrate the art of this place through inter-generational connections and apprenticeships. The fruits of their labor will be on display throughout the summer.

A series of events will draw audiences to the Art Center in order to view this rare collaborative endeavor. Emily Welch will read her poems for an audience on the occasion of the White Lightning Trail Festival.
