Undergraduate Programs at LMU-CVM

The Lincoln Memorial University-Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) offers a variety of undergraduate programs. For students seeking a Bachelor of Science degree, programs include Veterinary Animal Science (VAS), Veterinary Health Industry (VHI), Veterinary Health Science (VHS), and Veterinary Medical Technology (VMT). Students seeking an Associate of Science degree should consider the Associate of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology (AS VMT) program. Students who are interested in pursuing undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine coursework at LMU may also explore LMU's Guaranteed Professional Admission Program/Early Acceptance Program, or the Equine Veterinary Education Program.

Veterinary Medical Technology

Associate or Bachelor of Science Degrees

The Associate of Science in Veterinay Medical Technology (AS VMT) Program prepares students to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). The Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology (BS VMT) furthers the skills students have gained in an accredited veterinary technician program.

These programs do not contain prerequisite coursework necessary to apply to veterinary school.

Veterinary Health Science (Pre-Vet)

Bachelor of Science Degree

The Veterinary Health Science (Pre-Veterinary) Program prepares students for application to veterinary colleges or to gain employment in a related field.

This program contains prerequisite coursework necessary to apply to veterinary school.

Early Acceptance Program/Guaranteed Professional Admission Program

The Early Acceptance Program (EAP) allows high-achieving, highly-motivated high school seniors to earn guaranteed acceptance into the Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine upon successful completion of their undergraduate degree, provided they meet benchmarks determined by the Admissions Committee.

Equine Veterinary Education Program

The Equine Veterinary Education Program allows students to enter the program as undergraduates completing two and a half years of undergraduate study before beginning the four-year veterinary doctoral program with a strong emphasis on equine medicine.
