Symptoms of the Flu:

  • Fever > 100.4 degrees F
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Body aches
  • Headaches
  • Chills and fatigue
  • Sometimes vomiting and diarrhea

Practice Good Hygiene:

  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough and sneeze.
  • Wash your hands frequently, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (62% or greater)
  • Properly dispose of tissues after use
  • Wipe down keyboards, phones, desks, door knobs and any other surface that many people may touch
  • Avoid sharing pens and pencils, or wipe them down if sharing is absolutely necessary
  • Remove candy jars from desks - an unexpected sneeze near the jar could spread germs to many people
  • Avoid touching your eyes after coughing or sneezing
  • Maintain a safe personal distance of three feet - this is the general radius of germs after a sneeze
  • Carry hand sanitizer, gloves and a mask with you as a precaution
