Introduction and scope of collection
This collection of Civil War memorabilia and books was donated by Dr. Digby G.
Seymour, noted historian and author of Divided Loyalties:
Fort
Sanders
and the Civil War in
East Tennessee.
Consists chiefly of Civil War letters related to East Tennessee, authentic memorabilia related to both the CSA and Federal Civil War military armies spanning the years of 1854-1979. The collection contains 24 items, including several books related to the American Civil War.
