Welcome to the Office of Career Services at the LMU-Duncan School of Law. If you are planning to hire a law clerk, summer associate, or intern in the next year, we are at your service. We look forward to working with you and meeting your recruiting needs. We offer a variety of flexible recruitment options which are all provided at no cost to your firm/organization. Please feel free to contact the Office of Career Services if there is anything we can do to make your recruiting needs more convenient.
Employment or Internship Postings
The Office of Career Services offers employers the ability to post current employment and internship opportunities year-round. The opportunities are listed on a password protected site. We also provide employers the option of making blind postings of vacancies, in which the name of the employer is not revealed. If your organization is interested in posting a position with the LMU-Duncan School of Law, please download our Job Posting Form and email email@example.com the forms or fax them to the Office of Career Services at 865.524.5290.
Contract Work Employment Listings
We also offer a contract listing service to assist employers who need to hire students to perform legal research. This service may lead to reduce costs to employers who periodically need temporary law clerks for short or long-term projects.
If you are not able to visit our campus but are interested in interviewing our students, we can conduct a Resume Collection for you. We will post the position opening, collect the application packets, and forward all of the material directly to you. We will also be happy to assist with scheduling interviews for any applicants you may select.
On-Campus and Videoconference Interviewing
On-Campus Interviews provide participating employers an efficient and cost-effective way to interview many qualified students in a relatively short period of time. Employers may use our facilities at their convenience and may prescreen the candidates they wish to interview. All interviews are conducted in private interview rooms away from the distractions of daily law school activities. The Office of Career Services also provides videoconference interview capabilities for the convenience of students and employers. Employers interested in arranging on-campus interviews and videoconference interviews should contact the Office of Career Services. There is no charge for this service.
Events and Networking
The LMU-Duncan School of Law presents professional development programming that includes workshops and career panel discussions detailing career options and professional development. These panels and workshops present students with important opportunities to explore practice areas and topics in professional development. If you are interested in participating please contact the Office of Career Services.
