About Duncan School of Law
Security
DSOL employs Kendall Security to provide on-campus security. Kendall provides armed security officers seven days a week throughout the academic year. Although the on-campus security officers possess no arrest authorization, they do have a working relationship with local authority agencies for an expedited response in the event of an emergency. Kendall Security Officers have been issued a DSOL cell phone to carry with them at all times while on duty. Each student, staff and faculty member has been issued a decal with the security phone number to apply to their identification badge. The security number has also been posted on each classroom podium, DSOL entrance, electronic display boards throughout campus, and on the DSOL website. The security officers patrol the building and keep watch over all entrance and exit points of the building in order to maintain a secure environment for all students, staff and faculty. To further ensure safety, security officers are available when classes release during the evening to provide security services to students while they leave the building. Additional security officers are available both through Kendall as well as through the University when additional security needs arise.
In addition to security officers, DSOL employs electronic key-card access for all entry points of the building twenty-four hours a day to facility student, staff and faculty safety. Only authorized University personnel, DSOL faculty, students, contract service providers, and staff members possess key-cards for entry into the Facility. All access to the building is electronically logged. Kendal Security Officers can be reached by calling (865) 221-9409.
