Biller, Coder and Medical Auditor (784)
Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for the full time position of Biller, Coder and Medical Auditor, University Medical Clinic (UMC).  The role of the Biller, Coder and Medical Auditor is to supervise charges applied by providers for encounters in compliance with federal laws and finalize those charges for submission to various insurance companies.  In addition, this position is responsible for auditing of provider documentation to support all coding and charges.  Communicate with providers any needed improvements related to their coding encounters.  Must be efficient with electronic medical records, knowledgeable of various insurance and billing companies, in order to code all encounters properly.  Additionally, this position will monitor each provider’s progress on meaningful use, PQRS and tracking of Medicare Wellness visits.  This position will be responsible for collecting UMC debt from patients and working with insurance companies for reimbursement. Qualifications; Required:  High school diploma, one year experience with medical coding and credentialing, certified in professional coding and/or certified in professional medical auditing or equivalent.  Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
