Empowering Online Learning

The increasing popularity of online learning in education  combined with insufficient faculty development, poor strategic planning and high dropout rates, generates many challenges and dilemmas for faculty and instructional designers. One key challenge relates to the generational differences in learning experiences and preferences among online learners. Empowering e-learners with experiences that are relevant to their occupations and interests is essential. Models and rich examples of how to address the many types of e-learners within the Web of Learning will be the focus here.
