IV. Course Description:
This course is designed to introduce the student to the aspects of emergency and critical care of small animals. Critical care nursing techniques,
specific emergency situations and life saving procedures will be covered.

VI. Course Objective:
The course will emphasize the nuances of emergency medicine, discuss specific emergencies of all organ systems and their treatments and attempt to enhance students’ knowledge of critical care.
VII. Methods of Instruction:
Lecture will comprise the majority of this class. Occasional hands on displays will be used.
VIII. Course Requirements:
The student must attend lecture and complete assignments. There will be 3 tests. Ten percent of the final grade will be based upon attendance and class participation.
