Student
placement in a school environment or related field. Students examine functions and responsibilities along with
developing and implementing learning experiences
appropriate to the learner. Supervision by Physical Education
Practicum
Coordinator. Seminars included.

OF THIS COURSE TO CONTENT AREA KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The
student will use his previous knowledge and skills obtained from
pre-requisite courses to prepare for hands-on learning
experiences. This course will improve
skills that can be used in the future.

VII. COURSE OBJECTIVES
The student will
participate in the following objectives:
1. Review and discuss the competencies,
skills, and methodology necessary for the Physical Education
educator to succeed in a school/agency
environment.
2. Log and narrate the daily activities of
a Physical Education educator in an
educational setting, including organization, planning, and implementing of
learning experiences.
3. Experience a variety of teaching
strategies and techniques within a
maximum number of observation hours.
4. Assist the Physical Education educator
or Supervisor with assigned tasks appropriate.
5. Implement learning experiences in a
school setting or other agency
arranged by the instructor.
6. Evaluate progress of students or
individual learners involved in the
practicum.
VIII. OUTLINE OF COURSE CONTENT/UNITS OF INSTRUCTION
Week 1 thru Week 2
Seminar Workshop preparing students to go out into the public school.
Week 3
Placement of student in school setting. Introduction and observation.

Students will actually take
part in teaching a physical education class with
the
instructor.
