V. Course Description:
This course deals with the teaching of basic skills and planning for elementary school physical education, movement concepts, skill developments, motor patterns, skills themes, games, dance, gymnastics and lifetime wellness.
VI. Relationship of this course to content area knowledge and skills:
This course will provide the opportunity for the student to learn how to develop skills and attitudes of physical education. Developing the ability to implement instruction appropriate skill levels and the ability to use the activities to promote the respect for people, rules, equipment, fair play, and safety of lifetime sports and recreational games.

Upon completion of this course the student will:

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Plan for elementary school physical education classes.
2. Recognize ways to organize and discipline a class of students.
3. Teach games, dance, and movement to children of all ages.
4. To develop a classroom climate that fosters self-discipline and personal behavior
5. Teach games and skills to children on their skills levels.
6. Write activities that integrate physical education into the classroom.
7. Develop a task sheet.
