PREREQUISITES/CO-REQUISITES/RECOMMENDED ANTECEDENTS
Students
should be Kinesiology Majors and are recommended to take KINE 200, Foundations of Physical Education, along
with this class or prior
to
KINE 251.
IV. COURSE DESCRIPTION/COURSE GOALS
To
develop fundamental skills in team activities such as volleyball, wildcat
touch football, speedball, team handball, angleball, softball, team water
sports, field hockey, Frisbee team games, soccer, basketball, and unusual team games.
Skill development and teaching methods
will be emphasized.
V. RELATIONSHIP
OF THIS COURSE TO CONTENT AREA KNOWLEDGE & SKILL
This course is designed to contain all objectives, course
goals, knowledge and skills dealing with
the team sports taught. The students will be introduced to as many skills as
possible with each individual activity
which will help them not only be a better physical educator but will have some life-long team sports
to enjoy for many years to come.

Students
will learn skills in as many team sports as possible. These should include volleyball, wildcat touch football,
speedball, team handball,
angleball, softball, team water sports,
field hockey, indoor floor hockey,
Frisbee team games, soccer, basketball,
and unusual games.

- The instructor will show student’s basic skills of each
activity/demonstration
