COURSE CONTENT: The course will consist of Units 8-11 in the main text. These units will be embellished with presentations of French songs, poetry, newspapers, magazines, etc., focusing upon the teaching of language. Simulation games, dialogue presentations, and videos will be used to facilitate language acquisition. If time permits, we will study a full-length French movie. Reading skills will be enhanced by the use of a French Reader.
	EVALUATION: Four unit exams will be given. These exams will comprise one-half of the final grade. The other half of the final grade will come from small quizzes, class participation, and class projects.
CLASS ATTENDANCE: Good class attendance is mandatory m leaming a foreign language. Make-up work for unit tests and quizzes should be done within one week of the test. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange a time with the instructor to take the test.
