Physician Assistant Program

Director's Message

Dear Prospective Student:

I would like to thank you for your interest in the new Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) Physician Assistant Program. LMU has a long-standing history of graduating nursing and allied health professionals. The University has recently added the medical school in order to continue to address the health care needs of the state of Tennessee and surrounding areas to assist in alleviating the health care professional shortage.

LMU-DCOM's Physician Assistant program is a new program that has provisional accreditation through the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).

The PA program at LMU-DCOM includes a firm foundation in basic sciences and clinical medicine and prepares its graduates for work in a variety of diverse clinical settings. I encourage you to review our program documents, to visit our campus, and to participate in an informational session and meet with faculty and admissions staff. I welcome any questions you may have about the PA profession in general or our specific program.

We wish you the best in your endeavors.
