The West Virginia Geriatric Education Center is pleased to announce the 2015 Health Literacy Training will be held on April 9-10, 2015 at WVU-Division Charleston, WV.    The goal of this training is to improve health outcomes for older adults by increasing the use of improved and consistent strategies for communicating with patients, families, and caregivers who have low or limited health literacy.

Our target audience is health professionals including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, physical therapists and social workers, who interact with older adults about their health.  The 2014 training event was approved for approximately 13 hours of continuing education by the CAMC Health Education and Research Institute.
