Dean's Message
Establishing the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at Lincoln Memorial University
(LMU) has been an exciting endeavor for the osteopathic profession and the community at large. As the newest medical school in Tennessee, LMU-DCOM
opened its doors in August 2007 to an inaugural class of
enthusiastic osteopathic medical students. Ours is a
values-based learning community with experienced faculty
dedicated to training the next generation of osteopathic
physicians. The physical learning environment in our new 105,000 square foot facility
is second to none. The LMU-DCOM building uses the latest state-of-art technology to
meet our curricular objectives and connect our campus to medical education throughout the world. The clinical facilities that will assist in the training of our third and fourth year students
possess the latest advancements in modern healthcare and medical education.
And all of this is in the setting of the beautiful LMU campus next to the Cumberland Gap National
Historical Park.
We are all very excited about the opportunity to address the health care needs of the Appalachian region and beyond. It is truly an opportunity in life to make a difference.
We welcome you to become a part of our family as you begin your journey to become an osteopathic physician.
