Medical Emergencies
In the event of a minor or major
medical emergency at the Harrogate campus, call
Campus Security at 423.526.7911. At any
extended campus site, call 911. Do not
administer first aid unless you are trained in first aid
procedures.
Sexual Assault
In the event the victim needs
medical attention at the Harrogate campus, call
Campus Security at 423.526.7911. At any extended
campus site, call 911. Otherwise any
intervention is victim driven. There are several options
available both on campus and in the community.
CEASE is a community
resource that can help victims of sexual assault.
Call the 24-hour crisis line at 423.581.2220.
Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins and Union
counties in Tennessee call toll-free 800.303.2220.
Psychological
Contact Dr. Dan Graves, director
of counseling, at 423.869.6251 (LMU) or call Harrogate
Campus Security at 423.526.7911.
Fire
emergencies
In the event of a fire at the
Harrogate campus, call Campus Security immediately
at 423.526.7911. At any extended site, call
911.
Weather
Emergencies
Please refer to the University’s
website, www.lmunet.edu. Closing information will also
be available on local television and radio stations (see
listing at http://www.lmunet.edu/curstudents/weather.html).
In extreme situations, resident students may be required
to evacuate campus.
Utility
Failure
In the event of a major utility failure at the
Harrogate campus, immediately notify Campus Security
at 423.526.7911.
Unforeseen
Life-Threatening Emergencies
An Unforeseen Life-Threatening
Emergency is defined as a crisis situation where the
actions of an individual or group of individuals may
result in serious injury and/or death to members of the
campus community. An Unforeseen Life-Threatening
Emergency is not a situation such as health concerns or
other non-urgent matters that can be managed though means
that will not disrupt the campus community. Gunfire,
bomb threats and hostage situations are all examples of
Unforeseen Life-Threatening Emergencies. In the
event that an unforeseen life-threatening emergency
occurs at the Harrogate campus, call
423.526.7911. At any extended site, call
911.
