Mini-Grant Awards
The LMU Mini-Grants Program was
initiated in FY 07-08 and was intended to annually fund
promising investigators in a variety of scholarly
projects while enhancing the overall research
environment of the University. Recipients of the FY
08-09 LMU Mini-Grant Awards were recently announced.
They include:

Dr. Joanna Badara "An Examination
of Bacterial Contamination in Norris Lake,
Tennessee: A Research Partnership With
Tennessee Valley Authority",

Dr. Ann Callahan "Exploring
Relational Spirituality in Hospice Care",

Elissa Graff "Documentation of
the Cumberland Gap Landscape in Enamel", and

Dr. Agnes Vanderpool "Determining
the Impact of Shoreline Development on Water Quality
in Norris Lake, Tennessee".
The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum
The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum
was recently awarded a
$26,025.00 grant from Save America’s Treasures (National
Park Service, Institute for Museum and Library Services)
to fix some of the museum's most treasured flags.
Steven Wilson, Assistant Director and Curator, was
principal grant writer and project director.
Congratulations to Steven and the entire Library and
Museum staff for their achievement and for their
tireless efforts in keeping some of the museum's most
valuable treasures preserved and protected.
