The partnership schools are a collaborative responsibility shared by the Center for Professional Collaboration, Lincoln Memorial University, educational institutions, and local communities of the Cumberland Gap region of Appalachia. The benefits and expectations as they relate to partnership

- skilled practicing teachers should be involved in a significant way in a teacher education program
- participation in the development and implementation of programs in a variety of educational settings

- supporting graduates in their first year of teaching and throughout their teaching career by meeting individualized professional needs
