The High Adventure Series
The High Adventure Series strives to provide quality outdoor recreation, leadership development, and teambuilding opportunities for the entire campus community: students, faculty, and staff.
The High Adventure Ropes Course located in Democrat Hollow gives everyone in the LMU community the opportunity to develop team work and leadership skills while having a great outdoor adventure.
The course elements include a 500 foot zip-line, two high ropes elements, and six low ropes elements.
The centerpiece of the High Adventure Series is the monthly Destination Excursions. These trips are usually within four hours of campus. Activities include:
- Mountain Biking
- Whitewater Rafting
- Skiing
- Horseback Riding
- Rock Climbing
- Caving
These trips are offered at little or no cost to the students and are always great adventures. No need to worry about the experience in a chosen activity. We only coordinate with the best guide services in their field.
Along with the Destination Excursions there are monthly Local Adventure Excursions. These include hiking and other activities in Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.
