Job hunting
tips
What you do before you
get the interview for the perfect job is just as
important - if not more important - than having the
perfect interview experience. The research you do on
your companies of interest, the style and tone of your
resume and cover letter, the search databases you use
for finding opportunities, who you've networked with,
and what you plan to wear when you meet prospective
employers, are only a few of the important tasks ahead
of you before the interview even begins. In other words,
finding work is work.
Resume / Cover
Letter Assistance
-
If you don't have a working
resume and general cover letter you should have one!
But ask ten people how to write a resume and you'll
get eleven very confident answers! The truth is
there are many ways and lots of people willing to
help, but no two resumes will ever be the same due
to differences in personalities, educational and
professional experiences, and career intentions. Go
to:
Microsoft Office Online for some good template
starters for resumes and
about.com for Cover Letter guidance.
