Lady Splitter Golf Team Finishes 5^th at Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational 

BURKESVILLE, KY – A 5^th place finish was in the clubs for the Lincoln Memorial University women’s golf team on Monday and Tuesday when they competed in the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational in Burkesville, Kentucky. (Results)

The Lady Railsplitters finished behind host team Lindsey Wilson (1^st place – 642), the University of Mobile (2^nd place – 643), Trevecca Nazarene University (3^rd place – 680) and Georgetown College in 4^th place with a 686.  LMU posted a team score 712 on their way to 5^th place.

Finishing in 6^th behind Lincoln Memorial was Campbellsville University (763); Ohio Dominican University placed 7^th (776) and the University of the Cumberlands finished in last place with a team score of 874.

LMU’s Millicent Chaney (Prattville, AL) had the best tournament among the Lady Railsplitters.  Chaney shot rounds of 82 and 79 for a two-day total 161 to finish 17 strokes back in 6^th place.

Lady Railsplitter senior Rachel Spurs (Whitby, Ontario, Canada) tied for 18^th place with rounds of 87 and 83 for a final 170, while Sarah Oswalt (Bluffton, IN) shot an 88 and a 91 for a total 179 to finish 22^nd and Courtney Jeter (Germantown, TN) was 32^nd with scores of 98 and 104 for a final 202.

The Lady Railsplitters now prepare to round out their fall season on October 22-24 when they host the LMU Fall Invitational at Woodlake Golf Course in Tazewell, Tennessee
