Lincoln Memorial’s Kathleen Rollet Named SAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Kathleen Rollet of Lincoln Memorial University has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.  This marks the third time this year Rollet has earned this honor.

Rollet, a senior from Bouge Chambalud, France, was undefeated for the week and helped the Lady Railsplitters to a 1-1 record.  Rollet has gone undefeated in conference singles play this season and improved her career mark to 33-10.

Rollet, the No. 13 ranked singles player in the ITA Southeast Region, posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Carson-Newman’s Amanda Barlett at the No. 1 flight in LMU’s 5-4 loss to the Lady Eagles.  Along with No. 1 doubles partner Rachel Redmond, the LMU duo won 8-4 over C-N’s Amanda Barlett and Taryn Cappadona.

In LMU’s 7-2 win at Lenoir-Rhyne, Rollet accounted for a pair of points, including a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Kate Meiners.

The SAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
