Ashley Wallace Joins The LMU Soccer Team

HARROGATE, TN – Ashley Wallace, of Lithia Springs, Georgia has announced that she will join the Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer team in 2007. A 5’7 goalkeeper, Wallace has done well at Lithia Springs High School while playing her prep career.  On the high school level, Wallace has been team captain, MVP, All County, and All Region.

This year, Wallace recorded six shutouts and had a goals-against-average of 1.3. Her high school coach Jed Lacey states, “In ten years of coaching soccer, Ashley has been the best player I have ever had.  I have seen her make saves I thought were impossible.”  LMU Head Coach Helio D’Anna added, “Ashley is a great athlete and very tough. She attacks her opportunities on the field in the same way she approaches her grades, with an all out attitude.”

The daughter of Ronnie and Robin Wallace, Ashley is a National Honor Society student, a National Technical Honor Society and a Board Scholar.

The Lady Railsplitters continue to reload with a team that already returns a great deal of talent.  There is a lot excitement building around what could be one of the best teams ever in the fall of 2007.  The Lady Railsplitters open the season in late August.
