LMU Alumna And Former Coach Flying High In British Professional Women’s Soccer

HARROGATE, TN – Former Lincoln Memorial University Women’s Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach Ana Bruni (MA class of 2004) continues to be involved in the sport.  Since graduating from LMU, Bruni has played professional women’s soccer for Keynsham Town FC in Bath, England.  Last year she was among the top scorers on her team and helped the club win a league championship. (Southwest Combination)  Recently, the team was promoted to the higher division (Women’s Premier League – Southern Division).

This year, Bruni continues to rank among the top scorers and has helped her team to a eight game unbeaten streak.  Recently, in a game against the National Team of Wales, Bruni was showcased and scored both goals in the 2-2 tie: http://www.fgmag.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=3561

“Ana left a mark at LMU and we miss her,” said LMU Head Soccer Coach Helio D’Anna. “We are proud of her representing LMU overseas.”

The USA Professional Women’s Soccer League is expected to return in 2008.
