HARROGATE, TN --  Leanne Reid (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) and Jessica Meyer (Orlando, Florida) are the latest to become Lady Railsplitter soccer players and play soccer for LMU Head Coach Helio D’Anna.

Reid is a 5’6” forward with international experience.  She played for Mintlaw Academy and served the National Scottish Team U-15, U17 and now U-19.  Leanne’s coach Murray Carnie has nothing but praise for his outgoing all-star.  “Leanne is an outstanding player and can play a variety of positions,” says Carnie.  “She can play with both feet and has a great understanding of the game.”  Coach D’Anna seems to agree.  “What an exciting player to bring into our program! Leanne will bring a different dimension to our team and will be a huge piece of our puzzle, says D’Anna.

No less impressive, Meyer is also an accomplished player, having played at Freedom High School and at FC America Kumba.  She has accumulated impressive numbers throughout her career, including five of the six high school soccer record; career goals (32), single-game goal record (5), career assists record (31), single-season assist record (12) and career points record (127).  Meyer was also the 2007-2008 captain and MVP of her team. “Jessica is an outstanding Technical and Tactical play,” says Coach Bobby Sauer.  “She is a great person and I know she is going to be successful.  I strive to have my own daughters turn out like Jess.”  Coach D’Anna adds, “It’s always great when players with such potential have such a great attitude. We are so happy to have Jessica coming to Lincoln Memorial University.”

These two latest additions as well as the reminder of the roster will get things started with pre-season practice this coming August.  The Lady Railsplitters are scheduled to start camp on August 9th.
