Amanda Moran Signs Letter of Intent

HARROGATE, TN – This has been a busy recruiting season for the Lincoln Memorial University Head Soccer Coach Helio D’Anna.  This week D’Anna received confirmation that Amanda Moran, of Springfield OH will start her collegiate career with the Lady Railsplitters this fall.

Moran has attended Northwestern High School and played select at the Southern OH Soccer Academy.  During her career, she was named Greater Western OH All-Conference, Golden Boot Award (most goals scored), and to the All-Miami Valley Team.  Moran is a 5 foot striker/midfielder and is expected to pursue Athletic Training as a major at LMU.

“Mandi is full of energy and a nightmare to match against,” says D’Anna.  “She has a low center of gravity and her quickness and foot skills make her a tough mark.  She also has a wonderful attitude and we are extremely happy to have her.”

High School Coach Ron Griest adds remarks, “ Mandi is as good on top of the ball as any player I‘ve had.  She strikes the ball extremely well, is very dangerous one on one and is very aggressive.”

The daughter of Harold and Kimberly Moran, Amanda and the rest of the Lady Railsplitters will begin the 2007 season on August 25 when they host Pfeiffer College at home.
