LMU Women’s Soccer Signs One More From Florida

HARROGATE, TN – The Lincoln Memorial University Women’s Soccer Team will have one more new player from Florida in the fall.  Julianna Childers, of Titusville, Florida has accepted an offer to join the squad.

A 5’7” midfielder/forward, Childers will graduate from Astronaut HS later this summer.  Her playing career both in high school and with her club MEGU Fusion was filled with successes, including leading her team in points the past two years, as well as ranking 13th in the entire Cape Coast Conference for scoring.

Head Soccer Coach Helio D’Anna has big plans for his new signee, “Julie will bring a lot of great things to our programs, communication, leadership, athleticism, speed on and off the ball and of course great skills.  She is also an outstanding student and will excel in the classroom as well.”

According to her Club Coach, Steve Richards, “Julie is a leader on and off the field.  She has a solid foundation upon which she can continue to shape and mold, including academic excellence, personal responsibility, and dedication.”

The daughter of Stuart and Pamela Childers, Julie will pursue Criminal Justice while at LMU. The Lady Railsplitters will begin their affiliation with the South Atlantic Conference this fall.
