LMU’s Dos Santos Earns Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team Honors

HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer forward Danielle Dos Santos has been named to the 2006 Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team.  The teams were announced Tuesday afternoon.

Dos Santos, a 5’7” sophomore from Brasilia, Brazil finished the season tied for first place on the Lady Railsplitter squad in goals scored with 12, while also contributing 6 assists.

Thirteen games into the 2006 schedule, Dos Santos’ season came to an end when she suffered a season-ending shoulder separation in the Lady Railsplitter’s October 10 match with Lenoir-Rhyne College.

In addition to earning Daktronics All-Southeast Region honors this season, Dos Santos received 2005 All-South Region First Team honors, 2005 NSCAA/Adidas All-America Second Team honors and was named 2005 Gulf South Conference Eastern Division Freshman of the Year.  The second year starter also earned 2005 First Team All-GSC honors and was Co-Most Valuable Player of the 2005 GSC Women’s Soccer Tournament.
