HARROGATE, TN - Recently, Lincoln Memorial University Head Soccer Coach Helio D’Anna announced that Kyle Norris (Sheridan, Arkansas) and Adolfo Mosmann (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil) will be playing for the Railsplitters next season. Norris, is a 5’3” midfielder, played soccer both at Sheridan High School and for the Little Rock Futbol Club. In 2007 and 2008 he was an all-state honoree while becoming the all- time leading scorer for the Yellow Jackets. In club soccer he reached the state semi finals. “Kyle is a great player, an excellent captain and an example on and off the field,” said Alex Castillo, Norris’s high school coach. “His touch on the ball is excellent, and so is his field vision.” The son of Carla Norris, Kyle will major in History while attending Lincoln Memorial University. Mosmann is a 6’1” midfielder/forward and is well aquainted with the United States having studied in New Hampshire as an exchange student. While in Brazil, Mosmann attended and played at Pio XII High School. He also played club soccer for the Novo Hamburgo FC where he was State Champion under 15 and under 18. The son of Adolfo and Daysi Mosmann, Adolfo plans on studying business at LMU. “Adolfo is very strong and powerful,” says D’Anna. “He shields the ball well and is able to play make and finish. I am happy to see players of the caliber of Adolfo and Kyle joining our program.” Although the Railsplitters have a strong nucleus of players returning, it seems that no effort is being spared to strengthen the roster. In 2007, the LMU Soccer Team finished 20-4-1 and ended its year in the NCAA Division National Championship. -LMU- For additional comments please contact, |
