Another One from Tennessee to Play
Soccer
HARROGATE,
TN – Tiffany Trent, of Powell, Tennessee has announced that she
will join the Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer team in 2006.
A 5’6 forward and
midfielder, Trent has done well at Powell High School, having scored 74
goals and handing out 37 assists in three years. She has also played
competitive club with the Anderson Aces. “I am very happy to have Tiffany
coming to LMU,” said Lady Railsplitter Head Coach Helio D’Anna. “She is
quick and aggressive, and she is a goal scorer. She is also a competitor
with a die hard attitude.”
This is the third
player from Tennessee to join the squad, following word from Katie Simerly
of Morristown, and Sarah Chung of Oak Ridge. “It is great for us to get
these players from nearby schools. It shows how strong the soccer is in the
state and hopefully it will help develop the sport even more,” says D’Anna.
The Lady Railsplitters finished the 2005 season with a 16-3-1 overall record
and a 9-1-0 conference mark. Along the way, the Lady Railsplitters won the
GSC title and achieved back to back appearances in the NCAA South Regional
Tournament.
