Another One from Tennessee to Play Soccer

HARROGATE, TN – Tiffany Trent, of Powell, Tennessee has announced that she will join the Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer team in 2006.

A 5’6 forward and midfielder, Trent has done well at Powell High School, having scored 74 goals and handing out 37 assists in three years.  She has also played competitive club with the Anderson Aces.  “I am very happy to have Tiffany coming to LMU,” said Lady Railsplitter Head Coach Helio D’Anna.  “She is quick and aggressive, and she is a goal scorer.   She is also a competitor with a die hard attitude.”

This is the third player from Tennessee to join the squad, following word from Katie Simerly of Morristown, and Sarah Chung of Oak Ridge.  “It is great for us to get these players from nearby schools.  It shows how strong the soccer is in the state and hopefully it will help develop the sport even more,” says D’Anna.

The Lady Railsplitters finished the 2005 season with a 16-3-1 overall record and a 9-1-0 conference mark.  Along the way, the Lady Railsplitters won the GSC title and achieved back to back appearances in the NCAA South Regional Tournament.
