HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University Soccer Coach Helio D’Anna announced today that Kyle Gros of Victoria, British Columbia will be joining the team in the fall of 2006.

A 5’11” 170 lb. defender, Gros attended Lambrick Park High School and played club soccer for the Lower Island Select Team as well as the Juan de Fuca Soccer Club in Canada.  In club soccer, Kyle accumulated 12 goals and two assists as a defender, having played in 44 games.

“Kyle is a focused and driven team player. He will succeed in college,” stated Michael Star, his High School Coach.

“I am very happy to have Kyle join the squad,” says Coach D’Anna.  “He is a pretty strong player and a great athlete.  Kyle is also an academic scholarship recipient which proves how committed he is on and off the field.”

The son of Bob and Maureen Gros, Kyle is projected to pursue Business Administration while attending Lincoln Memorial, and will report on August 13, for pre-season conditioning.
