HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University women’s basketball center Andi Winney (Yorktown, IN) and guard Stephanie Wagner (Elkhart, IN) have been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Women’s Basketball Second Team and to the South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team.

Winney, a 6’1” sophomore, led the Lady Railsplitters in scoring and rebounding this season with 14 points and 6.7 boards per game while earning All-SAC Second Team honors.  The Lady Railsplitters finished the 2007-08 season with an overall record of 13-15 and were eliminated from post season play by South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Champion Tusculum College.

Wagner, a 5’9” freshman, was named to the SAC All-Freshman Team and averaged 9.8 points per game this season, hitting .405% of her shots from the field, including .379% of her shot from behind the three point line.  In addition, Wagner was considered the most deadly free throw shooter in the conference, hitting 46 of 48 attempts for an incredible .958% from the free throw line.

Both Winney and Wagner will return for the 2008-09 and will combine with Head Coach Larry Just in trying to restore the Lady Railsplitter program to its once national prominence.
