LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY OFFICE OF SPORTS INFORMATION Sports Release September 21, 2007 LMU Basketball Season Tickets On Sale! HARROGATE, TN – In anticipation of exciting men’s and women’s basketball seasons, the Lincoln Memorial University athletics department announced this week that season tickets for the 2007-08 year are now on sale. This year marks the first year for new LMU women’s basketball coach Larry Just, who takes over the helm for retiring women’s basketball coach Roger Vannoy, who is now the University’s athletics director. Just comes to Lincoln Memorial from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Just has put together a team that consists of seven returning players from a year ago, along with six new faces that will challenge for the South Atlantic Conference Championship beginning with the 2007-08 season-opening exhibition with Belmont University November 1 in Nashville. The men’s team, under the 4th year direction of Hugh Watson returns only three players from a year ago but boasts what is being considered the best recruiting class in many years which will be showcased by a strong inside game. Ten new faces will be in uniform for the Railsplitters when they take the floor for their season-opening exhibition November 5 in Knoxville with the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Season tickets are $50.00 and can be purchased in the Lincoln Memorial University athletics office located in the bottom of the Tex Turner Arena or by phoning (423) 869-6285. NOTE -- These tickets are for regular season home games only.
