World School 2009: Japan

Welcome to the World School!

The World School's aim is to "Build an Educational Institution without Borders". The biggest event of the World School is an annual forum. Once a year, young people from more than 20 countries gather and discuss social and global issues. World School activities include, communicating online about global issues, visiting associated schools, and home stay exchanges.

Last year’s forum was held in Italy and the students were Clarissa Medley, Matt Bailey and Matt Hansen.

This year’s forum is in Tokyo, Japan and this year's topic is “The Environment: Food and Value”. It is being hosted by the founding school, Kanto International High School of Tokyo and the delegates representing the United States are Samantha Rasnic, Leslie Lowry, and Dillon Ramos. J. Frank White Academy is the only school in the United States that participates in the World School Forum. This is a two week forum that lasts from October 19th until October 30th.
