Michael Jones, LMU Graduate, Publishes in Psychology Research Journal

Michael Jones of Ewing, Virginia recently published a research article in the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research.  The Psi Chi Journal is a national, juried publication of the Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology.  Jones' article, entitled, "The Effects of Noise and Sex on Children's Performance on Recall and Spatial Tasks", was the end result of research he conducted during his senior year in his Experimental Psychology course with Dr. Arlene  Sprague.  The article appears in the current summer edition of the journal.  He had previously presented his research at the Blue Ridge Undergraduate Research Conference at Carson Newman College.

Jones, a May 2000 graduate of the Psychology Program at Lincoln Memorial University, received "The Distinguished Researcher Award" and was named co-recipient of the "Outstanding Psychology Student of the Year Award".  He is currently employed as case manager with Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center in Kentucky.  He plans to attend graduate school and medical school in the near future.  The faculty of the LMU Psychology Program extend their congratulations to Michael for his success.
